The President of the Government Development Bank for Puerto Rico presents each year a public debt report before the Puerto Rico Legislative Assembly with an account of the amount of total debt and borrowing margin available of the Central Government, its public corporations and the municipalities of Puerto Rico. In addition, it describes the principal initiatives taken to manage public debt and take advantage of favorable changes in the U.S. tax-exempt market to refinance debt and attain savings in debt service. The report also details the principal projects financed with funds generated from bond issues or from direct financing granted by the Bank.
